2024 Hockey Champions Charity Golf Tournament

The Hockey Champions Charity golf tournament is only a few months away! The Falk Fehr Foundation will be hosting the event on Friday June 21st, 2024 at Winkler Centennial Golf course.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support from the business community and golfers year after year, at last years event, with your help we were able to raise $75,000 for the Winkler Food Cupboard & The Bunker Ministries, Industrial Eats Project.

This year the Falk Fehr Foundation will be donating tournament proceeds to three charities that make meaningful impacts in our community; The Winkler & District Food Cupboard, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Pembina Valley and South Central Cancer Resource.

The Winkler & District Food Cupboard provides assistance to those experiencing food insecurities in Winkler and the surrounding area. As the cost of groceries continues to rise, the number of families relying on the Food Cupboard's support also grows. We consider it a privilege to once again support the Food Cupboard, recognizing the increasing pressure to help feed those in need.

We are also excited to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Pembina Valley.  The Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program plays a crucial role in providing boys, girls, young men, and women with a supportive role model to confide in and share the experiences of growing up. Through regular outings and activities, mentors and mentees develop a meaningful relationship based on trust and shared interests, all under the guidance of experienced case-workers. This program results in a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee, fostering personal growth and positive connections that last a lifetime.

For over 20 years, South Central Cancer Resource has been a pillar of support for individuals with cancer and their families in South Central Manitoba. They provide essential services such as information, transportation, head coverings, services, education, and resources needed throughout the cancer journey. We take pride in supporting an organization that stands by our community members during some of their toughest days, offering comfort and assistance when it's needed most.
